Local sports broadcasting company Midco Sports Network has announced their fall lineup for live and tape-delayed broadcasts. The lineup features 32 live matchups of area college teams including the University of North Dakota, University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University and Augustana College, as well as regional high school teams.

The network, launched in 2010 by Midcontinent Communications, reaches approximately 275,000 cable subscribers, as well as live-streaming viewers, in North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

“We are excited to bring a full fall schedule of live local sports to our viewers,” said Mark Powell, vice president of Business Solutions and Midco Sports Network. “These games are centerpieces for our communities and will showcase spirited rivalry in every matchup. Our production teams are poised and ready to deliver all the action. We are extremely pleased with this live game lineup and we know our viewers will be too. We listened to their requests for local, live action sports – we are happy to deliver.”

Powell said that new announcers and production team members have been hired in Sioux Falls and in Grand Forks, ND in order to cover all of the games; some of which will be broadcast live in different regions on the same day. Earlier this summer, the network announced the addition of weekly coaches’ shows and new programming featuring regional collegiate athletics.

Access to online streaming of select live games will be available at Midco.net to Midcontinent’s Basic Cable subscribers.
