Midco Sports Network  has announced that they will broadcast up to 15 live Jackrabbit events, plus up to 24 weekly special shows featuring the South Dakota State University athletic program for the 2012-13 season.  The agreement is with Jackrabbit Sports Properties, which is a property of Learfield Sports and the exclusive athletics multimedia-rights holder for South Dakota State University.

“As part of our continuing efforts to support our regional collegiate talent, we are excited to bring these new SDSU shows along with our continued live coverage game action to our viewers and Jackrabbit fans this season,” said Midcontinent Communications' Vice President of Business Solutions Mark Powell.

Midco Sports Network has secured a 6-year agreement with Jackrabbit Sports Properties. This includes the live broadcasts, as well as weekly shows featuring game analysis, interviews and reporting with several of the coaches of the Jackrabbit athletic program.

“We’re pleased to partner with Midco Sports Network for our South Dakota State broadcasts and programming, knowing it will increase and provide extended viewership of Jackrabbit athletic events across the upper Midwest,” said Jackrabbit Sports Properties’ General Manager Brad Poe.

The broadcast schedule is being finalized and will be available on or around August 1, Powell said.
