Five years ago the students who go to Fargo Davies would have been Bruins. Now Davies vs. South has become a full-fledged rivalry. They square off this Saturday to determine who will take control of the EDC. I interviewed Troy Mattern (Fargo South) and Jason Thielges (Fargo Davies) about the big matchup.
Bismarck takes their unbeaten record to the Community Bowl where they face off with Century who has just one loss in the WDA. As usual the winner of this game will have some say as to who's the best in the west. The 100th Dakota Days celebration lost a little of its luster Saturday, as the chrome-covered Coyotes dropped a 27-16 decision to then-21st ranked Northern Iowa.
One of the bright spots was quarterback Kevin Earl, who was solid in his return from injury, completing 17 of 29 passes for 260 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
