It's been a while - 11 years to be exact - since South Dakota has started a football season 3-0.
That streak, as you all know, came to an end with last week's 45-7 drubbing of then-No.10 North Dakota. But as impressive as that performance and the rest of rest of the non-conference run has been, it is just the beginning.

What a week for South Dakota football.
After securing the program's second win over an FBS program - 35-27 over Bowling Green - the Coyotes immediately shifted their focus to one of the top teams in the FCS.
South Dakota, currently ranked No. 23, will host No. 10 North Dakota Saturday (Sept. 16) in the 2017 home opener.
