Tyler Merriam has been the radio voice of South Dakota State University athletics for close to a decade and covers football, basketball, baseball and everything else for the Jackrabbits.

Tyler is from Pierre, SD, and is cousins with the “Huron Merriams" – Rod, Roger and Troy. They are all huge baseball fans, and Tyler and Roger would probably tie in the world’s longest game of baseball trivia.

Tyler has a new color analyst for Jackrabbit football in 2019. Brady Hale will join Tyler on the mic, unless Brady gets a call from an NFL team that needs a punter.  Hale just finished up his college career and has been in contact with several pro teams, and there is the possibility that he could get the call at any moment.

The Jackrabbit football team has high expectations again in 2019, and Tyler breaks down the background of young quarterback J’Bore Gibbs and how the redshirt freshman is the key piece to an SDSU run at the FCS national championship.
