The South Dakota Prep Media basketball poll for the week of Jan. 15 is listed below, ranking the top-five teams, the team’s record, points received and ranking in the previous poll. First-place votes are indicated in parentheses.
Boys
Class AA
The Harrisburg TIgers move into the number one spot with Lincoln's loss to Sioux City East. Rapid CIty Central is also unbeaten and getting number one votes with Kailleb Walton-Blanden and Dylan Hay leading the way.

Madison stays at number one with all the first place votes. They host number two Sioux Falls Christian on Friday night.

Clark/Willow Lake suffered their first loss of the year to George-Little Rock (IA) last Saturday but barely stay at number one. I (like eight other voters) voted for Bridgewater-Emery at number one. The Huskies have yet to lose a game in Class B over the past two seasons and have been blowing out the competition again this year.

This was the toughest class to get agreement on as to who we should crown the top team. Aberdeen Central won the vote but four other teams garnered first place votes.

St. Thomas More lost for the first time in Class A since 2013 and they broke their 48-game win streak as well last Friday night in Hartford when they went down in overtime to West Central. Vermillion also took their first loss of the season. Belle Fourche remains unbeaten and was the biggest mover this week.

Sully Buttes is one of four teams at the top of the poll with unbeaten records. Waubay/Summit, Faith and Avon all make their first appearance in the poll this week, while Warner, De Smet and Irene/Wakonda all move out.
