Who could go undefeated?
First of all I don't care if you play 10 games or 30 games it's hard to go undefeated. What Roosevelt has done has been impressive. They've survived a few scares but for the most part they've played the part of the most dominant team very well this season. They feature a very good pitching staff and probably the best middle of the order we've seen in a long time in spring ball. However it's hard to go unbeaten, they have some big tests against Brandon Valley, Watertown, Brookings and Mitchell coming up and they still have rivarly games with O'Gorman, Harrisburg and Lincoln later in the season. So while they may be the best team they'll have the hardest of these four to stay unbeaten. Pierre has the toughest part of their schedule remaining as well, with games against Harrisburg, Winner, Mitchell and Brookings it's hard to believe they'll stay unscathed. That brings us to class B where top ranked Dakota Valley just survived two one run games last week but their only hurdle is a tough road game against Vermillion. Lennox still has tests at Canton and SF Christian in the next week and they have a game the following week with unbeaten McCook Central. So it's too early for me to say any of these teams has a good shot at staying perfect. If I had to pick one with the best chance, I'd say Dakota Valley. Here are this week's power rankings.
