The SDSU football team plays Indiana State at 2:00 on Saturday at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings.
SDSU is 5-4 and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Indiana State is 1-8 and 0-5.
I gotta feelin' that:
For just the second time this season, the Jacks will run and pass for more than 200 yards. (The only other game SDSU has gone for 200/200 was at Nebraska.)
Zach Zenner will run for 175 and then make way for Reggie Gandy. Gandy will get at least 8 carries. (He's had 8 total in the last 4 games.)
Austin Sumner will become the first Jackrabbit to pass for more than 7,000 yards in a career. (He only needs 99 to do it.)
Jason Schneider will catch 5.8 passes. (That's his conference-leading average thru 5 games.)
The Jacks will intercept two passes. (They have 15 on the season and 6 in their 5 conference games.) (ISU quarterback Mike Perish has 10 INT in 7 games.)
R.C. Kilgore will have at least 10 tackles. (He's done it 6 times already this season.)
The Jacks will have a season-high 5 sacks. (Indiana State has allowed 24 in 5 games.)
The Jacks will score their second-highest point total of the season. Somewhere between the 55 in the opener against Butler and the 38 at Western Illinois. (The average score in the 5 previous meetings is SDSU 34.4 ISU 19.6)
OR... Indiana State will win 7-3. Cannot forget that the Sycamores are the last team to beat North Dakota State. ISU beat NDSU 17-14 in Fargo last season on two INT return TDs by Johnny Towalid. (He graduated.)
