Here's a link that shows the video of O'Gorman punting from their own 24 yard line on 4th and 9 and getting a first down.

The punt never reached the line of scrimmage, therefore was a live ball. Had the punt landed past the line of scrimmage O'Gorman would have legally downed the punt and Lincoln would have taken over deep in O'G territory and might have been able to get within a touchdown of the lead in the 4th quarter. But since the punt landed behind the line of scrimmage it was treated the same as a blocked punt that doesn't get past the line, it's a live ball.

O'Gorman's Sam Steffl and the other Knights realized it was live and took it down the field for a first down.
