#1 Summit 21-2 vs. #8 Parker 1:00 pm

It all starts today in Huron, maybe the best matchup of the day. Parker's Anna Leloux (6-0 Sr.) 12ppg 10.2 rpg is one of the most polished players in the state. But she doesn't do it along, Micalanee Hanten (5-7 Jr) 12 ppg Tessa Weeldreyer 7.8 rpg, and Morgan Hey help make this one of the most dangerous 16-7 teams in memory. Parker has won 7 in a row and is 13-2 in their last 15 games.

Summit has no seniors, Presley and Logan O’Farrell are tall and athletic players who are true leaders. Head Coach Mark Amdahl has helped make Summit into a perennial power and they seem like the team to beat in the field this year.

#4 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 21-2 vs. #5 Hanson 20-3 2:45 pm

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket has just two losses on the year and they have many weapons like Rachelle Moore 10.3ppg and Shelby Selland (6-1  Soph) 16.1 ppg 7.3 rpg who will make a name for themselves at the tournament. Hanson has Ashley Robinson who is among the most talented players in the state. Hanson hasn’t lost since a January 3rd game to Wagner. The winner of this game could be a contender to go all the way.

#2 Sully Buttes 19-2 vs. #7 Edgmont 18-4 7:00 pm

Sully Buttes only lost to Dell Rapids and Eureka/Bowdle this year. They face an Edgmont team that is not used to being at state.

#3 Estelline 19-3 vs. #6 Faith 20-3 8:45 pm

Estelline is one team that could get hot and go all the way. They have played a tough schedule and will use seniors Megan Taylor and Mikayla Saathoff along with junior Erin Begalka to provide a spark. Faith's Tearnee Nelson (17.4 ppg) might be the best kept secret in the tournament. She could get going and cause some eyebrows to be raised.
