The way last weekend started out for Mitchell you would have doubted that they would be my number one team this week in girls hoops. They were stretched to overtime against Rapid City Central and eeked another win on Saturday against Rapid City Stevens. But a convincing win on Tuesday night cemented Mitchell as my new number one after Brandon Valley fell last Thursday to Yankton. Kerri Young continues to carry Mitchell to new heights, she was our player of the week with 17 points and 9 boards against Rapid City Central, 22 points and 12 rebounds against Stevens and 26 points and 7 rebounds against Yankton. Congratulations to Kerri.
In Class A there are no changes and in class B there were nothing but changes. Estelline gets a shot at the number one spot. Erin Begalka and Megan Taylor have led a balanced attack in Estelline so far this year. Estelline's slimmest victory was a 19-point win against Deubrook last Thursday.
