West Fargo has gotten out to a great start. Lexi Lennon, Christine Baltezore and Cassidy Thorson have shined early on for the Packers. They got a big win last Thursday against Shanley to vault up to number two in my power rankings. But I still have Century as my top team. Century's junior post player Hannah Larson grabbed 16 boards on Thursday to help her team beat Mandan which convinced me that the Patriots are the best in the west and so far in the state. Look for the return of Holly Johnson for Minot on the 28th. She's slated to return as they face Red River and she should put the Majettes back into the conversation as the top team in the state.

In class B I still have the same top five. I want to highlight our player of the week Sierra Rosenau, from Carrington who went for 26 pts in a 86-77 win over Napoleon, Dec 17th and against New Rockford/Sheyenne scored 13 pts in a 55-43 win. Carrington is the #1 team in the sportswriters polls and they are poised to move up my rankings too.
