South Dakota Girls

I think all three classes in South Dakota are up for grabs this year. In Class AA Brandon Valley returns three starters from their championship team none more important than Heidi H0ff. Mitchell, Aberdeen Central and Yankton all make the rankings from the ESD. Rapid City Stevens looks loaded with Margaret McLoud and Katie Klapprodt back. The four Sioux Falls schools will more than likely all work their way into the rankings at some point but start the season on the outside looking in.

In Class A, Parkston leads a talented lineup of teams with Marie Malloy back for Coach Van Laecken. Dell Rapids hasn't been near the top in the last couple years but they're my sleeper team to make a surprise run this year with Paige Bunkers, Haley Fiedler, Hannah Hammer and Amanda Mergen back. A lot of people like St.Thomas More with Katelyn Duffy and Elkton-Lake Benton could be the team to beat come March.

In Class B look to region four for the power. Centerville, Freeman and Parker all look tough. Summit and Faulkton will make some noise up north too.
