"We have an athletic group where a lot of players know their roles. A very fun group to coach. We will have a big challenge in front of us as they have some length that we will have to deal with. They also have really good guard play. We have to be able to control their drives and contest shots on the outside. Offensively, our ability to execute and create movement to open up shots will be key. We play really well on the offensive end when we get other kids stepping up and knocking down shots. That takes some offensive pressure off of Emilee Fox."

• Sisseton’s only loss this year to SF Christian in the NEC/Dak 12 Clash

• MVP held opponents to 37.6 PPG in playoffs

Coach Jon Brooks We return quite a bit of experience from last year’s team that went 20-2. We are senior and junior heavy this year so have girls that have played a lot of minutes at the varsity level.

"You can expect a fun team to watch that will get up and down the court. We won Lakota Nation Invitational and Black Hills Conference. We currently have 7 graduates playing college basketball. We currently have two academic all-staters and have obtained the state academic achievement award since I have started coaching girls."

• Vermillion has played the toughest schedule of any team in the state tournament. 

• Red Cloud has beaten teams above 500 by an average of 32.2 ppg including wins over Spearfish, Belle Fourche and Wall

We graduated 5 seniors that led us to the state tournament the previous 3 season. We are a younger team that is hungry to step up this season. We will play a more uptempo game. We will have different girls lead us in scoring this season, and we are excited to see who will step up and fill roles for us.

Coach Megan Severtson  I think we were able to move some people around personnel-wise this year, and it has opened up a lot of possibilities on the offensive end. Our transition offense is better, and we are able to really utilize the skill sets of some of our slashers and drivers. Teams aren't necessarily able to hone in on just one player - they have to worry about the whole group. We have three girls who average almost 15 points a game, and then another who averages 10. 

It is unique for a team to get to return every player from the previous season’s roster. We have a number of girls who have a lot of experience, especially in big games

Coach Adam Schorzmann

We have a solid and tight knit group of girls this year. Numbers are down from previous years but the quality is definitely there for us to have a very good season. We rely on our seniors Grant and Vasecka for scoring but we’ve got some good spot up shooters to offset that too.
