2021 ND Class 11A Football Season Preview

The new 11A class is another difficult one to predict because we’re about to see a lot of programs compete against one another for either the first time or the first time in a long time. Fargo North, Fargo South, Grand Forks Red River, Grand Forks Central and Dickinson have always competed in the same division as the biggest schools, but this year they’ll be in the second tier for the Class A schools. It’s a change that’ll take a lot of getting used to, but ultimately, I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Read on to find out who I think will be the top competition in 11A this fall.

2021 ND Class 11B Football Season Preview

With two defending state champions and a boatload of perennial powers in the new 11B division, this might end up being the most competitive of them all. Six teams in 11B have appeared in the Dakota Bowl in one of the last two seasons. The championship pedigree is bountiful in Class 11B and I think it’ll create some outstanding football. 2021 SD High School 11B Football Season Preview

The usual suspects are lining up at the top of 11B again. Winner or Bridgewater-Emery has been in the championship game for the past six years. This season there is some new blood that would love to crash the party but the old favorites are strong as usual.

2021 SD High School 11A Football Season Preview

This is the only class without a defending champ. Tea Area has moved up to 11AA and that means the title is up for grabs. The teams at the top are perennial contenders but this is how I see this competitive class playing out this season.

2021 ND High School Class 9B Football Preview

The new look 9-man class dubbed 9B will expand from four regions to eight and feature a total of 41 teams after Garrison exited region 7 for an emergency co-op with Velva. It might be the small school division, but there are some strong teams with great tradition ready to lineup for a shot at the state title. Read to find out who will be the top teams and players this season in Class 9B.
